ELEMENTS OF ART | A FOUR-DAY ACRYLIC PAINTING WORKSHOP & RETREAT WITH AUTUMN SKYE
August 16th -19th, 2025
(ALL LEVELS WELCOME)
Learn how to paint the elements in multiple forms over 4 days with world-renowned artist Autumn Skye:
Earth: stone/rock, crystal, etc.
Water: dew drop/surface reflection, etc.
Fire: flames/sparks/lightning, etc.
Air: clouds/etc.; and
Ether: stars/cosmos, etc.
Then, we will bring it all together with a comprehensive process of how to paint the human eye: the window to the soul, the alchemy of all the elements united!
Over the four days of studio time, students will work on multiple small study canvases. Through numerous daily demonstrations and attentive one-on-one support, Autumn Skye will guide students in the exploration of painting the elements, covering the journey of materials, application, and specific techniques to help capture each substance. These small canvases should be considered “studies”, as opposed to a finished composition-based painting. These studies will help deepen and expand your technique so that you can move forward in your painting journey with a new understanding of how to realistically portray the energy and elusive beauty of the elements.
During free time students are welcome to relax, walk the beautiful forest and gardens, lounge by the pool, peruse the library, or keep painting!
